Invitation Design


Why custom design?

Custom invitations are for couples who want something truly unique and crafted by a designer… not something chosen from a catalog. 

If you are in the greater Boston area we can meet in person or if in another location we can communicate by email, phone or Skype (as I do with many of my out-of-state customers). After an initial consultation, a timeline & customized quote will be established based on your specific needs and wedding date. We then work together to create a one-of-a-kind ensemble that will set the overall tone for your wedding day.

How long does it take? 

Please allow a minimum of 8-12 weeks for completion. The design phase typically takes 3-6 weeks and printing can easily take 2-3 weeks depending on the printing method used and how many pieces are in your ensemble. If you live near Boston I can deliver your order or you can pick it up. If you are outside of the Boston area (or in another state) please allow extra time for shipping. 

Rush orders can be accommodated when possible, but may lack certain elements in order to meet your deadline and certain costs like printing & shipping may be higher than normal. Please contact me with your wedding date to check availability.

How much does it cost?

Invitations are quoted on an individual basis for each couple - they are all as unique as you are. However, to provide you an idea of cost, our letterpress invitation ensembles can cost anywhere between $1200 - $1800+ including design & printing.

Key elements include: an invitation card, rsvp card & envelope or postcard, a map/direction card and an outer envelope. Additional elements may include: a registry card, hotel info card, "belly band" which goes around all the pieces, envelopes liners, enclosures, hand addressing, postage, etc.   

Pricing depends on how many pieces are in your ensemble, the quantity you need, as well as any additional custom elements selected.
